Operation: Scooby Doo
Beginning on August 25th, 2022, the Heard County Sheriff’s Office, and Animal Control Department, assisted by numerous other agencies, conducted a search and seizure of an animal rescue here in Heard County. We are still in the process of intaking the animals, we are expecting total of approximately 200 dogs removed from the property.
Starting on August 29, 2022, at 0800, Heard County Animal Control & Heard County EMA, began the recovery phase of this disaster. This phase is known as “Operation Scooby Doo”. Reason for this operational name is because everyone loves Scooby Doo, and he helps all dogs!
