Pamela Cumbie  

     Pamela Cumbie is a native of Rome, Georgia, however, she has made Heard County her home since moving here in 2001. She holds many fire and ems certifications to include, FF 1, Hazmat Ops, EMT-Intermediate, and Crash victim extrication, to name a few. She prides her work in organizing fund raisers for the department. The annual Heard Co. Fire & EMS Golf Tournament and the Realm of Terror Haunted House are two of her favorites with proceeds to benefit the Georgia Burn Foundation and the departments Charitable Contributions Fund whereas; needful things are purchased for any of the nine fire stations in heard county not covered under grants.

     Miss. Cumbie began her career with Heard County Fire and Emergency Services in 2006 as a volunteer firefighter. She then enrolled at West Central Technical College in Douglasville to obtain her EMT-I training and certification. She went on to graduate in the winter of 2007. In January of 2007, Pamela became a paid firefighter with this department and has been an active member of the EMS team.

     Prior to her becoming a Firefighter/EMT-I, Pamela was a licensed hair stylist and owned a successful salon in Carrollton, Ga. She maintains her license and is still active with this profession as well.
